High School Program
Our High School program offers three tiers so athletes can join at the right level and progress along a clear pathway.
Development Team

Focus: learning to row (sculling and sweeping), mastering the stroke sequence, and building teamwork, hard work, and time-management skills. All high school beginners with no competitive racing experience begin here. It's the foundation of our program and the stepping stone into the Club and Competitive Teams.

Focus: advancing sculling and sweeping skills, learning advanced technique, and building stronger, faster rowing capacity. For athletes with about a year of training and limited racing experience who want to grow without a full-time commitment, while preparing for the Competitive Team.

Focus: high-performance rowing and technique, rowing cues to increase boat speed, and Long-Term Athlete Development promoting endurance, power, and strength. Our Competitive Team races some of the best clubs in the country — locally, at the state level, and nationally — and IRC regularly sends athletes to the USRowing Youth National Championships.

*Regattas are pre-billed at registration. Participation is performance based, and crews are selected at the coaches' discretion. Travel is arranged by families with carpooling encouraged; full details are shared in a regatta email before each event.
Try Rowing — Two-Week Trial ($99)
To make sure rowing is a good fit, new athletes are invited to try the sport for two weeks for $99 at the start of the Fall season.
