Spring 2018 Boosters Information

In spite of endless rain and snow, spring is truly coming. It is time to really begin planning for the IRC Junior Rowing Spring season.
We are writing to update you about upcoming events and to enlist your help. This is a busy month and we can’t do it without your help. We apologize for the rather long email. Please be sure to read through to the end.
Here is what we all need to do:
Please note that information about all of the regattas is available on the TeamSnap site. After signing in to the site, click on the name of your rower and a row of tabs will show up along the top of the page. Regattas are listed under “Schedule” and all current information on each of these is included under each event. The “notes” section under each event will include information about hotels, the sign-up genius, and any other necessary information. Side note: you can more easily sift through all of the events by choosing the "View Preferences" tab at the top of the Schedule page. Under "View Preferences," select the "Games Only" option and it will filter out all of the practices. Angelia Thorpe will be sending out an email with tips and tricks for using TeamSnap in an upcoming email.
Every year we ask the younger rowers to create photo boards for the senior rowers. There are a lot of seniors this year, so it will take lots of rowers to get the boards made--but it’s a fun group project!! We’ll let you know where the photo boards will be created shortly. Please bring scissors and/or cutting boards, fun stickers or paper for borders.
In order to create photo boards, we will need pictures! Please keep track of any photos you may have taken over the years. We’ll be asking for them shortly.
Ed Couch will be collecting donations this weekend for the coaches’ gifts. If you prefer to send him a check now so it’s one less thing to remember this weekend, please mail a check to him at: 5605 Sunset Lane, Indianapolis IN 46228. He will need all funds collected by the end of the day on Sunday May 6th.
Finally, it is time to find a new IRC Booster President, Vice President, and Treasurer. After the spring season, all these roles will be vacant. It will be so much easier to pass on hard-earned wisdom if volunteers step forward now. Please consider supporting the Boosters by becoming an officer. A big thank you to Angelia Thorpe for taking on the role of Communications Chair beginning in the fall season (and for already doing a ton of communications work through her organization of the new TeamSnap system!).
