Classes and Activities

Indianapolis Rowing Center offers many individual classes open to members and the general public alike.  A number of other events occur at the boathouse on a regular basis.  All upcoming events are listed below.

    Practices begin Monday, November 12th.

    Schedule:

    Competitive Masters - Tues & Thurs. 6:00-7:30pm, Sat. 8-9:45am

    Technical Masters - Mon. & Wed. 6:15-7:45pm, Sat. 8-9:45am

    Remember, this is a public workout space for all IRC members, please be respectful by wiping down the equipment after you use it and choose appropriate music.

    Learn-to-Row (LTR) is an introductory class for adults (or parent/child) to the sport of rowing.  Over the course of the entire month, IRC coaches, with the help of volunteers, will teach you proper rowing technique, inside and on the water, as well as educate you on rowing terminology, safety and teamwork.

    The April session dates will be 1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th, and 29th from 6:15PM to 8:30 PM

    The focus will be in eight person (sweep) boats.  There will be the opportunity to scull in smaller boats on Saturday mornings from 8-10am once you have completed the class.

    Learn to Row graduates will also be invited to attend Technical Masters rowing sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays (6:15pm) for free, for the remainder of the year.
