Dear friends of IRC,
On October 26, 2019 the Indianapolis Rowing Center is hosting its 3rd Annual 5k Lup Lup Gallop in tribute to Audrey Lupton, one of our fellow junior rowers who at age 17, lost her battle with cancer. Please join us by sponsoring a rower running in this year’s event at University High School of Indiana 2825 West 116th St. Carmel, IN 46032
Audrey touched many lives during her 17 years and the IRC junior rowing team was fortunate to be part of Audrey’s special circle of friends. As her coach said, “While she was very much a lightweight when it came to rowing, her battle with cancer over the last few months showed that behind the small frame was the heart and spirit of a true competitor. Audrey has shown us that we each have so much more fight in us than we can ever imagine.”
To honor her spirit and her love of the sport, the IRC has established a scholarship in her name to ensure that money is never a barrier for those who wish to participate in rowing.
The run this year will be held on the 5k course at University High School, where Audrey attended. It is a “fun” run so participants are invited to wear costumes, trick or treat on the course, bring their dogs to run with them, and breakfast will be served by the junior parents.
We invite you to join us for the festivities, participate in the fun run at whatever pace you are comfortable, and sponsor a junior runner/rower! To contribute click here or mail a contribution to:

Checks can be made payable to Indianapolis Rowing Center. Please write “LupLup” and the name of the rower/runner you are sponsoring on the memo portion of your check. 100% of sponsorship dollars raised will benefit the Audrey Lupton Scholarship Fund. Prizes will be awarded participants who have the most sponsors and who raise the most for the scholarship fund. The Indianapolis Rowing Center is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and your contribution is tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
On behalf of all of us at IRC, in memory and tribute to Audrey and to the future competitors that will row in her name, thank you for partnering with us!
