Membership Reminders and Updates
The Park. The Indianapolis Rowing Center is fortunate to be located in Eagle Creek Park. Our members are expected to abide by all park regulations, including paying admission for park entry, and keeping dogs on a leash. It is recommended that members purchase a season pass for park entry or make a suitable donation to the Eagle Creek Park Foundation which includes a park pass.
Boathouse. Membership allows for the use of the Indianapolis Rowing facility, including ergo-meters, boats and oars. Boats for members' use include the recreational rowing shells used for Learn-to-Row class (except when they are in use by a class), club racing singles which are designated by an orange card on the boat racks, club double sculls, and quadruple sculls. Sweep boats are also available to qualified members. Use of any club boats is contingent on the member's rowing ability. Use of club boats is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Club boats must be reserved in advance for competitions. All members must sign in and sign out in the log book when rowing.
Schedule. Membership occurs on a calendar-year basis. The Indianapolis Rowing Center facility is open from mid-March until November 1st. Rowing is prohibited once the facility has been winterized and the docks have been removed from the water
