IRC COACHES
Masters Program Coaches
Katie Lesko rowed during high school and continued as a varsity rower at the University of Dayton, a NCAA Division I program. She served as a novice coach at Emory University while completing her graduate work in Public Health. As a rower, she excelled on both the erg and the water, especially in sculling. She has competed around the country, including the Pan-Am trials. She spends her spare time running.
Courtney Chan began rowing in high school and continued in college at Syracuse. He has coached for Lincoln Park Boat Club and the IRC juniors. Since the birth of his second child, Courtney has had to reduce his hours, but maintains his passion for the sport.
Junior Program Coaches
Mikella Robinson: Mikella is in her 4 season as girls varsity coach. She rowed for 4 years at Williams College, an NCAA DIII powerhouse, sitting 5-seat in the NCAA championship Varsity 8 her senior year. Mikella then continued her studies in Germany where she picked up sculling. A dedicated athlete, Mikella ergs and runs frequently.
Eric Stoll: Eric has an extensive coaching background, including coaching collegiately at Villanova and Washington College. He was inducted in the Washington College Hall of Fame in 2008 for his work in rowing. He is the retired director of IRC and now enjoys teaching the novice women how to row fast.
Greg Wilson: Greg began rowing while in graduate school. He coached the Wabash College Crew and rows competitively with the IRC Masters. While not at the boathouse, Greg enjoys gardening and singing with a men’s choir. He coaches the novice boys.
Whitney Meyer: Whitney is currently coaching the varsity boys, though she has served as both the head women’s and men’s coach for IRC. Whitney began rowing while in college in England and started the rowing program at the University of South Dakota. She is a certified rowbics instructor and avid rower herself. |

Bernadette Marten Teeley joined IRC in January 2008. An accomplished rower and coach, she was a member of the United States National Team eight-oared crew that won the World Championships in Seville, Spain in 2002. Most recently she coached the varsity women's fours for the University of Michigan. She has also coached masters and junior programs in the Ann Arbor area. She began rowing at the University of Dayton where she earned her bachelor of arts degree, and she continued rowing at the University of Michigan where earned her masters degree and was named All-American in 2001. Teeley graduated from Cathedral High School, Indianapolis. |
