Bernadette Marten Teeley joined IRC in January 2008. An accomplished rower and coach, she was a member of the United States National Team eight-oared crew that won the World Championships in Seville, Spain in 2002. Most recently she coached the varsity women's fours for the University of Michigan. She has also coached masters and junior programs in the Ann Arbor area.

She began rowing at the University of Dayton where she earned her bachelor of arts degree, and she continued rowing at the University of Michigan where earned her masters degree and was named All-American in 2001. Teeley graduated from Cathedral High School, Indianapolis.
